- Organic Garden Harvesting -
Our garden has produced an abundance of fresh organic vegetables and herbs this summer.  It's beautiful how much harvest the garden can produce!  Two potent herbs that are an absolute must to add to your lifestyle are rosemary and mint.

Rosemary:
Rosemary is a great source of Vitamin C, A, and complex B vitamins such as folic acid, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine,  and riboflavin.  Rosemary also provides an abundance of minerals such as copper, potassium, zinc, manganese, magnesium and very high in iron.  Compounds such as cineol, camphene, borneol, bornyl-acetate and apetine have  rubefacient, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-septic properties.

Uses

- Use rosemary springs to use rosemary-infused olive oil.
- Natural air freshener
- When used topically, it can heal sores, wounds and bruises.
- When mixed with nettle leaf and boiled into water, rosemary can help with hair growth and dandruff.
- It can be used for skin irritations such as eczema.
- When applied to the forehead it can relieve headaches.

Mint:
Peppermint has a myriad of benefits and nutrients, in particular to sooth stomach issues.  It helps to relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, indigestion and colonic muscle spasms.  It contains a rich source of vitamin C, copper and manganese.  Peppermint helps to sooth the stomach muscles surrounding the intestine so there is a less chance of spasm and indigestion.  Peppermint consists of antioxidant properties and helps to neutralize free radicals and helps to relief nasal symptoms related to allergies.
